I don’t even know where to begin. I can’t say enough about this wedding! Alex and Francis were nothing short of amazing. I honestly don’t think we could have had more fun if we tried. The two of them are absolutely made for each other and their wedding day was filled with everything a wedding day should be. I’m going to let the images speak for themselves. Rachel & Seth’s New York City engagement photo session.
Teri and I visit NYC fairly regularly. Usually involving work and sometimes involving fun, but there are certainly times when the two merge into a day that is simply wonderful.
Rachel and Seth are a NYC couple getting married here in Rochester so shooting an engagement session in NYC was the ONLY choice in our minds. We met them at their place and then started a day that can only be described as beautiful. We spent the entire afternoon wandering parts of NYC that are dear to them. The weather was perfect and they shared stories of how they met, taking us to beautiful places, and really opening up about themselves making the entire afternoon very intimate and comfortable.
As I sat down today to edit these I couldn’t help but do it with a huge smile. Their love for one another shows through in every photo. I couldn’t help but be reminded that THIS is why I love being an artist. Creating images that capture how they feel about one another is the single most rewarding thing a photographer could ever want. Meeting people like Seth and Rachel only reinforces how important what I do for a living really is. Generations from now these images will live on and their children’s children will see exactly how wonderful and beautiful their love truly is.

Kate and David’s Rochester NY Wedding
Kate and David’s wedding was the perfect start to our 2012 wedding season. They chose Lento in the Village Gate for their ceremony which was the perfect location for a small group of family and friends. Kate and David decided to do a ‘first look’. We have always loved this intimate and personal way for brides and grooms to see each other for the first time. The ceremony went beautifully and it was the perfect start to a wonderful evening celebrating the love of Kate and David. Congratulations!

Bridget & Amadeus. A rustic country barn wedding in the Finger Lakes
We met Bridget and Amadeus for the first time during one of our routine NYC trips. They live in Brooklyn so we arranged a meeting at a local Starbucks. Right from the moment we met them Teri and I looked at each other and smiled. They were two of the most down to earth people we’ve ever met. They spoke about a barn wedding they were planning in the Finger Lakes region of New York State, near where I grew up. Teri and I were immediately excited about the prospect. We loved the idea of a Brooklyn Couple getting married in a place far far from the city. Someplace peaceful where everyone could celebrate the union of two beautiful families. Barn weddings were common place long before country clubs and convention halls. Getting back to the tradition of two families pitching in, decorating, and celebrating with each other was simply an amazing wedding experience they we wont soon forget.

Genine and Von’s “Trash the Dress” or “Day After” Session.
The Wedding industry has many names for a photo-shoot that takes place on a day that is not the wedding day. Honestly these sessions are a ton of fun and way of creating images that aren’t usually possible on a hectic wedding day. We certainly do our best to shoot anything we can if time allows. But sometimes things are scheduled so tightly that its impossible to get the kind of time we’d truly like with a couple.

Jamie & Joe’s Rochester Wedding
We met Jamie and Joe for the first time at her mother’s house in Webster. Immediately we could see the connection they had. After hearing how they met and how long they’d been together, we knew their wedding was going to be a special one. Jamie & Joe’s Rochester NY wedding was at the United Methodist church of Webster with the reception taking place at Eagle Vale Country Club. The day was simply perfect even with a little rain. Jamie looked absolutely beautiful in her wedding dress and the expression on Joe’s face said it all. It was a fantastic affair filled with music, family, amazing food and celebration. Cristina & Greg’s Niagara Falls Wedding at Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel
Never having been to the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel in Niagara Falls we didn’t know what to expect, but after arriving and checking in we soon realized this was going to be an amazing place to have a wedding. The wedding day turned out to be absolutely fantastic from beginning to the very end. The two days we spent with Cristina, Greg and their families proved to be emotionally rewarding and not to mention an incredibly great time. Anna and Dennis’ Rochester NY Wedding
We have been looking forward to photographing Anna and Dennis all year after meeting with them last year. I can’t believe how fast time flies! Brenda and Case’s Wedding
Teri and I first met Brenda in the church parking lot as a car full of young ladies pulled in next to us. Brenda greeted us with a huge & contagious smile after recognizing us. Lindsay and Jason’s Wedding

Melaine and Ed’s Rochester Wedding

We fell in love with Gina and Randy from the moment we first met with them. They truly complete each other. Leah & Miguel’s Rochester NY Wedding
Leah & Miguel always wanted a wedding in downtown Rochester so they decided to hold the ceremony in the Downtown Library’s reading garden. It was the perfect place for a couple who loves Rochester and all it has to offer. Engagement Session: Gina & Randy
We had been trying to schedule a session with Gina and Randy for quite a while. The spring weather really wasn’t cooperating with us at all the past few weeks. Yesterday we finally got a break! Teri and I drove down to the Finger Lakes and met them at their country home in Honeoye. We were delighted to finally meet Gina and Randy’s Moms while they watched their 9 month old Son during our photo session. We set out for Sandy Bottom Park for a stroll near the lake. Spending some intimate time together in a beautiful place is the perfect way to capture the love between two people. I hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed creating them. Bridal Affair in the Loft
Teri and I at Hanlon Weddings thought it would be a great idea throw a Bridal Show at our studio this past spring. We wanted to introduce all our brides to the vendors we love. We asked Lisa of Lime Drop Events and Lisa of Flower Power Decor to help us create a unique event that was unlike any event people in Rochester had ever seen. The show was a huge success and we look forward to the next one.

Ed and Melanie are an adorable couple from New Jersey. They booked an engagement session with us during one of our trips to NYC over the winter.
